Broadhurst Family Fun Day Gets a Dose Of Healthcare

Published 25 June 2026

We brought emergency medical support, health screenings and healthcare education to the Broadhurst Primary School Family Fun Day, where we served as the Official On-site Emergency Medical Services Provider for the event.

Held at Broadhurst Primary School, the Family Fun Day brought families together for a day of entertainment and community connection, while our presence ensured that emergency care was available throughout the event and created opportunities for families to engage directly with healthcare services and professionals.

Our Emergency Medical Care team provided on-site emergency support while engaging families about the work of emergency medical professionals and what it takes to deliver lifesaving care when every second counts.

We also brought our Mobile Clinic to the event, providing health screening services including hearing tests conducted by our Audiology Department. Bringing these services into a familiar community setting made it easier for families to engage with health screening and learn more about the importance of awareness and early detection.

Beyond the services themselves, the event gave families an opportunity to discover more about healthcare as a career. At our information stall, visitors could explore our healthcare programmes, interact with our teams and learn about the different pathways available to those interested in joining the health sciences.

Our participation reflects our commitment to taking healthcare education and community engagement beyond traditional settings. Community events provide an opportunity to connect people with healthcare professionals, make health information more accessible and create awareness around services that can contribute to healthier communities.
