Supporting Naledi Senior Ahead of Mock Examinations

Published 31 July 2026

“It takes a village to raise a child”, and nowhere is that more evident than in education, where every learner’s success is shaped by the collective efforts of families, schools, government and the wider community.

While government continues to make significant strides in expanding access to quality education across Botswana, meaningful progress is strengthened when institutions, businesses and communities combine efforts to respond to the needs of learners and schools.

We recently visited Naledi Senior Secondary School to hand over 50 boxes of printing paper and examination answer sheets ahead of their upcoming mock examinations. The support will help ensure the school is equipped to administer this important assessment effectively and as scheduled, giving learners every opportunity to prepare, participate and perform at their best come October.

The visit was especially meaningful as Naledi Senior Secondary School is the alma mater of our Provost and Founder, Dr. Tiro Mampane. His connection to the school adds a personal dimension to our continued relationship with Naledi and our interest in contributing to the development and success of its learners.

Beyond the handover, our School of Rehabilitation Sciences also engaged Naledi Senior School’s Special Needs Department to explore future collaboration in supporting learners with learning disabilities.

The engagement creates an opportunity to look beyond immediate resource needs and consider how expertise and collaboration can contribute to more inclusive learning environments. Supporting learners with different learning needs is an important part of ensuring that every young person has an opportunity to participate, develop and realise their potential.

By supporting the school and exploring areas for future collaboration, we are contributing to an environment where learners can access the resources, support and opportunities they need to thrive.

As the mock examinations approach, we wish the learners of Naledi Senior Secondary School every success in their preparations and examinations.
