About the Department

Learning for better health.

The Diagnostic Radiography Department combines theoretical learning with practical and clinical training in medical imaging, patient care, radiation protection and professional practice. Students develop the technical, communication and critical-thinking skills required to provide safe and effective diagnostic imaging services.

Through laboratory activities, simulation and supervised clinical placements, students gain practical experience in imaging procedures, patient positioning, equipment use and radiation safety. The Department also promotes evidence-based practice, research and continuous professional development.

Working with clinical training sites and healthcare partners gives students valuable exposure to professional environments and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. This approach prepares graduates to deliver patient-centred care, adapt to evolving imaging technologies and contribute to quality diagnostic healthcare services.
