Botswana successfully participated at the Eleventh Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning (PCF11) from 10–12 September 2025 in Gaborone, under the theme: “Innovative Open Education: Fostering Resilient Societies for Sustainable Economic Development.” The Ministry of Higher Education announced the event’s successful conclusion, which brought together educators, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the Commonwealth to explore the future of open and flexible learning.

Boitekanelo College played a crucial support role during the forum. Occupational Health and Safety students and staff managed risk and ensured a safe environment, while the logistics committee coordinated operations smoothly. Emergency Medical Care and Nursing students provided essential health services at the mobile clinic, attending to participants’ needs throughout the event. Additionally, the Marketing Department showcased the College through an exhibition stall, highlighting BC’s programs and initiatives to visitors.
